The cleats you wear, the bat you swing, or the ball you kick are worth peanuts in comparison to the value of an athlete’s own body. So when we find our body is failing us in some way, we want to do what we can to get ourselves better and get back on the field to our teammates and our game as quickly, efficiently, and safely as possible.
The Sports Medicine team at FASSST Sport, a division of Comprehensive Medical Care, works with athletes of all ages and sports to do just that; help them to return to play. We aim to assess and diagnose the underlying causes of pain and injury to help our athletes not only heal, but return to play and perform better than they were before.
With sports specialized Physicians, Therapists, and Athletic Trainers rounding out the Medical Team and working in conjunction with the full staff at Comprehensive Medical Care, our athletes have access to some of the best brains in the business performing the most up-to-date treatment and therapy procedures.
We offer a multitude of services ranging from myofascial decompression (cup therapy), functional movement screening, instrument assisted soft tissue work, Acupuncture, laser therapy, and Normatec compression therapy, to platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections, stem-cell injections, A2M injections, and more.
Our sports specialized team treats injuries inclusive of muscular strains, ligamentous sprains and tears, contusions, tendinopathies, rotator cuff tears, Osgood-Schlatter disease, Sever’s disease, fractures, concussions, herniated discs,
tennis elbow, runner’s knee, dislocations, subluxations, and more.
FASSST Sport involves more than just our in-house treatment of injured athletes. The Sports Medicine department houses an integral part of the team, our FASSST Protect on-field Athletic Trainers that ensure continuity of care between the field and the office for our athletes injured during their athletic events. Please visit our On-Field Medical Services page for more information on the services provided in our FASSST Protect Athletic Training division.
Additionally, the team works hand-in-hand with the Performance Coaches at FASSST to see athletes through from injury prevention to rehabilitation to on-field performance.
