Dr. Nicholas Mazzone, PT, DPT, CSCS

Dr. Nick Mazzone was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Health Science with a concentration in disability studies with a minor in biology.  He then obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University in 2016.

Dr. Nick has a strong background in strength and conditioning and aims to bridge the gap between strength training and physical therapy. He believes that a lifestyle centered around physical fitness and mental well-being is vital to one’s success and happiness. For this reason, he educates his patients on modern pain science concepts and helps motivate them to reach their goals one day at a time.

He is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is an adjunct professor at the CUNY College of Staten Island where he currently teaches kinesiology in the physical therapy department. In the future, Dr. Nick would like to achieve certification as an orthopedic specialist (OCS) and a sports specialist (SCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Dr. Nick is an active member of the APTA who lobbies on behalf of his profession and regularly attends the annual Combined Sections Meeting in locations across the country. He is also an active blogger and researcher. You can find some of his blog material at DrNickMazzoneDPT.com.

He currently lives in Staten Island, New York. In his spare time, he likes to perform strength training, go hiking, visit breweries and travel to new places.
