Joseph Tsai, Licensed Acupuncturist
Joseph Tsai was born and raised in Taiwan, where he graduated from National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei. He then came to the United States to obtain his Master of Science in Computer and Information Sciences at NJIT. Upon completion of his degree, Joseph worked in the IT industry for over 10 years before deciding to dedicate his time to his church’s community.
Upon working with his congregation, Joseph realized that many of these members not only needed spiritual guidance and help but also required physical assistance. As a result of this observance, Joseph decided to return to school and received his Master of Science Degree in Acupuncture from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM). During his time at NYCTCM he received the President’s Scholarship Award for two consecutive years and graduated with the Highest Academic Honors (Summa Cum Laude).
Joseph is now a Board Certified acupuncturist licensed in both NJ and NY, who has been trained in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Master Tung’s Acupuncture and Dr. Tan’s Balance Method Acupuncture. Joseph focuses on using different acupuncture techniques to treat different types of medical ailments and alleviate both physical and emotional pain.
Joseph believes the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specifically the Holistic principle, which considers that a person is made up of interdependent parts of body, soul and spirit. If one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. Meaning that if individuals have imbalances, either physical, emotional, or spiritual, it can negatively affect their overall health and wellbeing.
Therefore to achieve optimal health one must gain proper balance in life, which can be achieved through acupuncture. Joseph currently lives in Harrison, NJ with his wife. Joseph and his wife have two children who are currently living out of state working and attending school. Joseph continues to be an active member of his church, helping those in his community to lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and gravity.
